Fake broken screen
A cracked screen prank: open it full screen and the glass shatters wherever they tap.
Opens full screen. Hand over the phone or leave the laptop open — the crack appears where they tap.
How to pull it off
- Pick what’s under the crack: a lock screen with the real time, a screen that looks switched off, or a white page.
- Press Start. The page goes full screen and the controls hide after a moment.
- Hand over the phone or leave the laptop open. Their first tap shatters the glass, with a crunch.
- Every tap adds another crack. Press Esc or tap Exit to end it — then show them it was a prank.

Questions
Can this prank damage my screen?
No. It’s just a picture drawn by your browser. Nothing touches the hardware, and it disappears the moment you exit.
How do I get out of it?
Press Esc on a computer. On a phone or tablet, move or tap and the Exit button appears at the bottom after a moment. You can also close the tab.
Why can I still see the browser bars on my iPhone?
Safari on iPhone doesn’t let websites go full screen. Add White Screens to your Home Screen and open it from there to hide the bars.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes. Switch off “Glass breaking sound” before you start. Some phones also stay silent until you tap once, or when the ring switch is on silent.
Is it a good April Fools’ prank?
It’s one of the most searched-for ones. Keep it short and tell them quickly — someone who really thinks their phone is broken can panic.
